Random Fact about me #1
I'm the oldest of three and am usually struggling with my ADHD self.
Random Fact about me #2
I enjoy writing both fanfiction and reader inserts but haven't had the time to do either in recent years unfortunately.
Random Fact about me #3
I would say my current interest is leaning in My Hero Academia, Voltron, and Haikyuu (which is slowly creeping back in). Though my interests range pretty wide in anime, manga, video games, and shows in general <3

a cat crossing your path is actually good luck because you get to see a cat

Sylvia Plath was right

About what?

“Being born a woman is an awful tragedy. Yes, my consuming desire to mingle with road crews, sailors and soldiers, bar room regulars—to be a part of a scene, anonymous, listening, recording —all is spoiled by the fact that I am a girl, a female always in danger of assault and battery. My consuming interest in men and their lives is often misconstrued as a desire to seduce them, or as an invitation to intimacy. Yet, God, I want to talk to everybody I can as deeply as I can. I want to be able to sleep in an open field, to travel west, to walk freely at night.”

I know women who were teenagers during WW2 who talked about the immense freedom they had as teen girls. They could sleep on the beach at night. They’d walk home alone after a party. From the way they talk about it, you’d think there wasn’t a war going on or that some of those nights were interrupted by air raid sirens.

How was this possible? Easy - just conscript every able-bodied man between the ages of 15 and 60 and put them in military compounds that they aren’t allowed to leave. Remember this the next time a woman muses about having curfews for men so women can walk alone and night, and everyone scoffs at how that wouldn’t solve anything, somehow.

I can’t believe Spider-Man defeated not one but TWO Disney films and grabbed the Golden Globe

Oh my goodness I’m so happy *ugly sobbing*

People don’t understand why this is a big deal.

Disney has a stranglehold on animation. Ya’ll remember when Frozen came out? Well when it won the Oscar for best-animated film, it was revealed that the people voting didn’t watch any of the other films. Frozen only won because of it’s brand name. For Spiderverse to defeat two Disney films is big because not only does it prove that animated movies feature people of color can be successful but it’s also showing that other animation companies have a chance.

Also, because people keep saying this: Disney only owns the MCU Spider-Man movies. Spiderverse is NOT a Disney film, it is a Sony film.

And hey, remember how the Oscars snubbed the Lego movie, and then ignored How To Train Your Dragon 2, Song of the Sea, and the Tale of Princess Kaguya, just so they could give the Oscar to Disney’s Big Hero 6?

Yeah, this really HAS been a problem.
